Data shows support has increased for PUV Modernization

More than 1,000 transport cooperatives and operators favor the PUV (Public Utility Vehicle) modernization program of the government.

The data by the Department of Transportation (DoTr) show that 1,131 transport cooperatives from 110, 909 PUV drivers and operators aspire to have a modern PUV.

According to DoTr Assistant Secretary for Road and Transport Infrastructure Steve Pastor, the increased number of drivers and operators favoring the PUV modernization has bared its support on the appeal of the government for a safety and proper system of transportation in the country.

Pastor believes increasing support for the modernization of PUVs is a sign on the program gaining success.
