Davao City MECQ starts today

Davao City began today (June 5) the two-week modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) implementation until June 20 amid an increase of COVID-19 cases.

Authorities have intensified the enforcement of health protocols, including the strict monitoring of quarantine control points, and public and private vehicle passengers compliance with health standards.

Jack Tilcag said.

The quarantine classification escalation has already affected several public utility vehicle drivers due to very few allowed commuters.

Kasi wala po talagang maiuuwi,” PUV driver Toribio Legarde said.
