Davao City to launch ‘bakuna nights’ for second-dose Sinovac recipients

Davao City plans to launch a two-day dry run of its “Bakuna Nights” vaccination campaign on Sept. 23 and Sept. 24, a Davao City health official said on Wednesday (Sept. 22).

During a radio interview, Davao City COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said that the dry run will be limited to individuals who missed their second dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Schlosser, the city health office targets to inoculate around 800 to 1,000 Davao City residents during the dry run of the program.

She added that the Task Force launched the nighttime vaccination as most economic frontliners could not avail of the vaccination rollout during the daytime.

The proposed time for Bakuna Nights is from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, but a cut-off time is set at 8:00 PM. – CF – bny
