Davao City’s Silvestre to face Cebu’s Furog on June 15

DAVAO CITY –- Orthodox Orlie Silvestre of Davao City will face a “dangerous” Christoval Furog of Cebu on June 15 at The Enderun Tent at Azuela Cove in Lanang, this city.

With 13 wins, five losses and eight knockouts to his record, the 25-year-old Silvestre scored a unanimous decision over Joel Taduran last March 23 at the Resorts World in Pasay City.

In December last year, Silvestre lost to Teeraphong Utaida of Thailand by unanimous decision in Sai Noi, Thailand.

On the other hand, the 24-year-old Furog (7W-1L- 3KOs) TKO’d Bukidnon’s Delfin de Asis in the 2nd round on April 5 in Malaybalay.

He also beat Polomolok’s Van June Saludar by a split decision on Jan. 16 in Cagayan de Oro City.

The Lanang event is promoted by Rey Rodis of RED Boxing International.
