Davao de Oro under state of calamity

The provincial government of Davao de Oro declared a province-wide state of calamity after a series of earthquakes that struck their province on March 7.

“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, through a special session on March 11, 2023 passed and approved Resolution No.0556-2023, placing the entire province of Davao de oro under a state of calamity,” the Davao de Oro Provincial Information Office said.

In the report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, a total of 194,057 households or 229, 647 families were affected by the earthquake.

The total cost of infrastructure damages was estimated at P265 million. -gb
