De La Salle Dasma alumni pilots ‘Animo’ media choice awards

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite — The De La Salle Dasmariǹas Alumni Association, Inc. (DLSDAAI) will spearhead its first ever Media Choice Awards as the major highlight during its Grand Alumni Homecoming slated at the campus’ Ugnayang La Salle on July 21.

According to DLSUDAAI Sunday, the “1st Animo Media Choice Awards” forms part of the worthy advocacies of the alumni group led its president Nathaniel S. Golla “to honor the best media programs, networks and personality.”

Wiziel Napod, head of DLSDAAI Awards Committee, described the award’s name is coined after the rallying chant of every Lasallians “Animo,” meaning drive, passion and purpose.

The award is in support of DLSDAAI vision “that the deserving winners also embody the energy, zeal and commitment excellence of Lasallians,” Napod said.

The “Animo Media Awards” is comprised of 10 categories for television and radio.

For television, the categories include best in TV station, best news program, best male and best female news anchor.

The “radio” categories is subdivided into AM and FM, where the best news program, best male and female news anchor are for AM; and best station, with best male and female DJ are for FM.

DLSDAAI undertakes educational, charitable, social, civic and other similar programs with the end in view of fulfilling the ideals of the De La Salle University system. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
