Dela Rosa slams bribery rumors vs. SAF men

MANILA — Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa dismissed reports claiming that Special Action Force troopers, who are tasked to guard high-profile drug inmates in the New Bilibid Prison, are being bribed by the convicts.

In a Radyo Pilipinas report Wednesday, the PNP chief claimed that these rumors were spread by the detained drug lords to tar the image of the SAF personnel who were doing a good job of securing the NBP facility in Muntinlupa.

Also, investigations on the alleged bribery yielded negative results, he added.

Despite these findings, the PNP chief urged the SAF men to remain true to their oath and not to be affected by these rumors. (Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
