DepEd: 94% of schools in Metro Manila implementing 5-day face-to-face classes

By Gabriela Baron

About 94% of public schools in Metro Manila are now implementing face-to-face classes five days a week, the Department of Education (DepEd) said Wednesday, Nov. 2.

“Sa ngayon po, maayos naman po ang resumption ng ating classes so far,” DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa said.

“Naghihintay rin po kami ng feedback from our regional directors, para po kung may challenges encountered man ay matugunan agad,” he added.

Public schools in Metro Manila resumed the conduct of the five-day in-person classes on Wednesday, over two years of distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the resumption of full face-to-face classes, DepEd also announced that mask wearing inside classrooms is now optional. With report from Daniel Manalastas
