DepEd awarded more than 200 schools for Brigada Eskwela participation

The Department of Education (DepEd) awarded over 200 schools across the country following their association with the government in the Brigada Eskwela. The accolade, said the education office, was contemplated to encourage educational institutions nationwide to partake in DepEd’s projects. The educational arm, moreover, has launched its Brigada Pagbasa, an educational program that will allow private citizens to volunteer themselves to teach reading to the out-of-school youth.
