DepEd eyes 1,114 school-participants for face-to-face learning dry run

1,114 schools in low-risk areas will participate in the dry run of face-to-face classes starting January 2021.

In a press briefing, Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor Briones disclosed that the participating schools are located in Region 4-A and Region 8.

However, the list is still being finalized. The schools were chosen based on its compliance with the health protocols, parents’ approval, and the approval of the local government unit (LGU).

President Rodrigo R. Duterte earlier approved the limited face-to-face classes in low-risk areas. The DepEd specified that the number of students inside a room will be limited to 15 to 20 students only. – PTV News
