DepEd sets educators’ confab to enhance quality of teaching

IMUS CITY, Cavite –The Department of Education (DepEd) office in Cavite has slated a two-day orientation seminar on quality assurance technical assistance monitoring and evaluation (QATAME) on December 11-12.

The seminar is intended for public education program and school district supervisors (PSDS) and the various representatives from city/town school-based management divisions (SBM). It will be held at the Oasis Hotel in Tanza, Cavite.

DepEd-Cavite Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Elias A. Alicaya, issued the Division Memorandum No. 363 s. 2017 which spells out the seminar-forum objective to step up QATAME implementation in public education.

The event will also familiarize participants with the creation of online QATAME tools and develop an efficient and reliable pool of Division QATAME Associates.

The activities include lectures with 10 various topics up for discussions and participants will be grouped for their practicum exam and end with the group presentation on Day 2.

The enhancement and re-tooling activity is pursuant to Administrative Order No. 161 on “Institutionalizing Quality Management System in Governance,” amended through Executive Order No. 605, “Institutionalizing the Structure, Mechanisms and Standards to Implement Quality Management Program” and the DepEd Order No. 118 s. 2010.
