DFA: 256 displaced OFWs from Macau, Thailand arrive in PH

A total of 256 displaced overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Macau and Thailand arrived in the Philippines in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), 203 OFWs from Macau arrived on March 25 while 53 Filipinos from Thailand arrived on March 24.

The arrival of the OFWs was made possible through the repatriation flights that were organized by the Philippine Consulate in Macau and the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand.

To date, a total of 5,761 OFWs from Macau and 808 OFWs from Thailand have already been repatriated since the start of the pandemic.
