DFA asserts PH doesn’t have to depend on foreign grants

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) asserted that the Philippines can stand without depending on loans from 18 countries who sided with Iceland’s resolution to investigate the human rights situation in the Philippines. Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. said that the country’s funds are enough and it does not need to loan money from other countries except Japan. This was his statement after Malacañang decided to suspend loans and grants from the said nations.
