IP leaders tell how CPP-NPA recruits the youth

Leaders of indigenous peoples (IPs) shared in a forum in Brussels, Belgium the manipulative methods of the Communist Party of the Philippines and New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) when it comes to recruiting young people. Tribal leaders Datu James Binayao and Datu Joel Dahusay recounted how rebels indoctrinate children in their community for the longest time, teaching them to go against the government and practice acts of violence through Salugpungan schools. The IP leaders pleaded with the European Institue of Asian Studies for cooperation to stop the rebels by withdrawing support for organizations connected with the Reds.
