DILG eyes additional 18k contact tracers in Metro Manila

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) aims to hire 18,000 additional contact tracers in Metro Manila to locate individuals exposed to COVID-19 within 24 hours.

According to DILG Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary Bernardo Florece, isolation, treatment, and reintegration must be intensified while the (National Capital Region) NCR Plus is under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).  

Currently, there are 9,000 contact tracers in Metro Manila. The government assured the continuous coordination with the local government units (LGUs) to decrease the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
