DILG reminds barangay officials re road clearing ops deadline

The Department of Interior and Local Government reiterates that barangay officials who fail to comply with the 60-day road clearing operations may face consequences. DILG Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs Martin Diño points out that said officials will be issued a show cause order and may be suspended. Validation teams will be mobilized on Monday to confirm which areas have postively responded to the directive. DILG reminds that Sunday, September 29, is the deadline for compliance, and urges LGU’s to finish road clearing operations by then.
