DILG Sec. Año: Employees from provinces can still enter Metro Manila

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año has clarified that, in the implementation of the community quarantine on March 15, employees coming from provinces can still enter Metro Manila.

According to DILG Sec. Año, the workers just need to present their I.Ds as proof of their employment. He said that there will be checkpoints to and from the metro starting Sunday.

In addition, the DILG secretary has stressed that it is not a lockdown but a restriction of access due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.
