Dizon: COVID-19 positivity rate ng bansa, bumaba

Nakikitaan na ng pagbaba ang positivity rate ng COVID-19 sa bansa, ayon kay Testing Czar at National Task Force against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon.

Sa ipinakitang datos ni Secretary Dizon, naitala ang pinakamataas na positivity rate ng bansa  nitong mga nagdaang buwan noong April 2 na 25%. Tuloy-tuloy na itong humupa hanggang kahapon (Abril 29) sa halos 17%.

Maging sa NCR, na siyang epicenter ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas, ay bumaba na rin daw sa 17% ang positivity rate, mula sa halos 30% noong unang bahagi ng Abril.

“Ang pinaka-importante, sa tulong ng kooperasyon ng mga kababayan natin, iyong pagsusuot ng mask, paghuhugas ng kamay, pagdidistansiya, at iyong mabilis na pag-a-isolate, ay talagang napakalaki po ng naitulong kasama na rin ng pagpapaigting ng ating lockdown sa NCR Plus.  So dahan-dahan na po itong bumababa, at sana po ay tuluy-tuloy na pong bumaba itong ating positivity rate.”

Inirekomenda ng World Health Organization (WHO) na panatiliing mababa sa 5% ang positivity rate sa loob ng dalawang linggo bago buksan ang ekonomiya ng isang bansa.

Samantala, huling naitala sa Pilipinas ang positivity rate na 4.7%, na mas mababa sa WHO benchmark, noong February 6.

Sa kabila ng pagbaba ng mga bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19, ipinaalala ng DOH ang mahigpit na pagsunod sa minimum health standards.
