DOE hopes moratorium on WPS exploration will be lifted

The Department of Energy (DOE) is hoping that the moratorium on the oil and energy exploration in the West Philippine Sea will be lifted. According to DOE Asst. Sec. Leonido Pulido III, the energy department has sent the Office of the President a letter on the revocation of the embargo. Earlier, the state called for the temporary cessation of oil and exploration activities in the disputed territories. The DOE adds that its steering committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs are already drafting a code of conduct on the joint exploration in the region.
