DOF: PH economy stronger, stable in 2021

Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III is expecting the Philippine economy to be stronger and stable in the year 2021.

Sec. Dominguez pointed out that in 2021, there will be a vaccine against Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) resulting to a formidable remittance of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), higher dollar reserve, and the Philippine Peso remaining strong against the US Dollar.

In addition to this, he stated that Filipinos will also feel the improved economy before the year 2020 ends. The government plans to revert the unemployment rate of the country to 5% from 10% in September. – PTV News
