DOH 6: Western Visayas at low risk for COVID-19

After a week of being classified as high risk for COVID-19, the Western Visayas is now at low risk, according to the Department of Health Region VI (DOH 6).

However, the DOH 6 urged its residents to still observe the minimum health protocols and to not be complacent.

In a DOH Western Visayas public briefing on June 21, Dr. Mare Jocelyn Te said that the average daily attack rate for the past two weeks is at 6.77%.

As of June 20, there are 60,178 COVID-19 cases in Western Visayas with 2,561 active cases, 46,006 recoveries, and 1,365 fatalities.

In the region, health care facilities are at moderate risk while Iloilo City is at critical risk, Capiz and Guimaras at high risk, Bacolod City at moderate risk, and Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental are at low risk. – Report from Bing Pabiona (Radyo Pilipinas) / CF-rir
