DOH confirms reemergence of polio in PH

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed there is an outbreak of polio in several parts of the country. Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said water samples from the water sewage systems of Manila and Davao were found positive of polio virus. Further, a 3-year-old girl in Lanao del Sur is monitored as she currently suffers residual paralysis. The DOH continues to provide polio vaccination that began on 09 August this year.
