The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday (Sept. 15) said it has disbursed a total of P15,189,438,496.36 benefits to healthcare workers.

“Mayroon nang P15.1 billion benepisyong napamahagi ang gobyerno sa ating mga healthcare workers mula September 2020 hanggang sa kasalukuyan,” DOH Sec. Francisco Duque III said during the Talk To The People.

“Kabilang po rito ang higit P13 billion na special risk allowance at active hazard duty pay,” he added.

The DOH has also released P5 million worth of sickness and death benefits.

For batches three and four of the special risk allowance, P882 million have been downloaded to centers for health development (CHD) and other health facilities.

As for batch 5, the DOH has requested P1.23 billion from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

“Patuloy na naghahanap ng pondo ang inyong DOH para makapagbigay ng dagdag na benepisyo para sa ating healthcare workers,” Duque said. -rir
