DOH records 14,707 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, Sept.19, recorded a total of 14,707 new COVID-19 cases in the country from Sept. 12 to 18.

According to DOH, the total daily average number of cases in the country in the previous weeks has reached 2,101, 4% lower than the 11% record in Sept. 5 to 11.

Seven out of the new recorded cases were tagged as severe and critical, while there are 248 death cases where 34 died between July and Sept. 5 to 18. 

Out of the 2,638 ICU beds for COVID-19 patients, 24.1% or 637 were already occupied, while 28.9% of the 21,150 non-ICU Covid-19 beds were currently used.

The DOH continuously reminded the public to be careful and vigilant against COVID-19 and comply with the government’s mandate on minimum public health protocols.
