DOH sets reminders for Holy Week 2022

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued reminders to the public for their activities to prevent COVID-19 transmission as the Holy Week approaches.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire advised devotees to avoid kissing the figures and statues due to the risk of coronavirus transmission through droplets.

DOH also warned of possible health risks and infections from having themselves crucified, such as tetanus, infection on wounds, and loss of blood.

Most of the municipalities in the country are already under Alert Level 1 wherein the capacities of public places such as malls, amusement parks, and churches are already back to 100% until April 15. – Report from Mark Fetalco/AL-ag
