The Department of Health (DOH) will set up health stations in different polling precincts in the country on Monday, May 9.
In the May 7 Laging Handa briefing, DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the health stations will serve as an emergency center for anyone who will experience dizziness or high blood pressure.
Vergeire said voters who will experience COVID-19 symptoms will immediately be referred to an isolation place.
“We conducted a simulation exercise together with [Commission on Elections] officials noon pong Huwebes, kung saan tiningnan po natin, nag-simulate tayo kung paano natin isasagawa lahat. So, everything is in order. We are closely coordinating with Comelec para po dito sa ating health protocols,” she added.
Meanwhile, DOH has already mobilized their regional offices to assist local government units in putting up health stations in polling sites. – gb
