DOJ, DILG sign revised GCTA implementing rules and regulations

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra and Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año have formally signed the revised implementing rules and regulations of the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law. Its main revision makes it clear that persons deprived of liberty charged with heinous crimes can no longer benefit from the law. The term “heinous crimes” in the revised IRR is based on the definition of RA 7659 or the Death Penalty Law.
