DOLE: 452-K COVID-19 vaccines allocated for construction, factory workers

The National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 on Wednesday (Aug. 25) approved the request of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to provide additional COVID-19 vaccine allocation for construction and factory workers.

According to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, 452,000 doses of additional COVID-19 vaccine will be allocated for the said workers. He added that the vaccines were also allocated to help the economy recover quickly, saying “We believe doing this would speed up economic recovery.”

Involved workers in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Central Visayas will greatly benefit from the vaccines.

With this, Bello hopes that the industries affected by the pandemic will gradually recover.
