DOLE to give out free bikes for vaccinated employees

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will give out bicycles to vaccinated employees as part of its “Baksikleta” program.

The department’s program aims to encourage unvaccinated workers to get inoculated against COVID-19.

According to DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, the DOLE will begin to distribute bikes on July 1 along with a bag and a cellphone containing ₱5-K worth of load for vaccinated employees. 1-K essential workers from Metro Manila and 1-K workers from different regions are expected to receive the benefits of the program.

Meanwhile, Sec. Bello III stressed on Wednesday (June 16) that the “No vaccine, no work” policy is still strictly prohibited.  (PTV News)/NGS-rir
