Typhoon Domeng (international name: Jangmi) has exited the Philippine area of responsibility at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, according to PAGASA’s 5:00 p.m. bulletin.

Domeng was last located 795 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph as it moves northward at 15 kph.

In its final weather report, the state weather bureau said that the tropical cyclone will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon affecting Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao, respectively.

While no gale warning advisories were issued, the state weather bureau advises fisherfolk and owners of small marine vessels to exercise caution in navigating choppy waters in the following areas:

• Up to 3.0 m: The northern seaboard of Batanes.

• Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Isabela and Kalayaan Islands; the remaining seaboard of Batanes; the northern and eastern seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the northeastern seaboard of Aurora; the eastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan.

• Up to 2.0 m: The northern seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, and Northern Samar; the eastern seaboards of Sorsogon and Eastern Samar.

Domeng has slightly weakened and completely changed its trajectory as it heads towards the islands of southern Japan and is expected to further weaken over the next few days due to unfavorable environmental conditions.
