DOTr doubles incentives of PUV drivers under the service contracting program

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) doubled the incentives given to public utility vehicles (PUV) drivers providing service to authorized persons outside of residence (APORs) under the service contracting program of the government.

The incentives received by bus drivers have gone up from ₱46.80 per kilometer to ₱82.50 while the modern public utility jeepney (MPUJ) drivers may now receive ₱52.50 per from ₱46.80.

Meanwhile, DOTr Assistant Secretary Steven Pastor encouraged more PUV drivers to participate in the program. He pointed out that the program will greatly help the drivers in earning more amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).###
