Jump rope community’s ‘Jump As One Fund Drive’ helps people affected by ECQ

The Philippine Jump Rope Association (PJRA) is inviting everyone to join its “Jump As One” fundraising online event from April 9 to 24.

In celebration of the 49th Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), the group intends to help people affected by the re-implementation of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in some areas of the country.

PJRA President Noel Agra said that through the event, they want to spread good vibes in the midst of the grim situation that everyone has to deal with.

“Sa jump rope community kasi, sobrang nakakatuwa kasi maraming nag-gather [It is so heartwarming in the jump rope community because many gathered together]. Let’s do some fundraising, give back naman to those people who are in need,” Agra said.

The two-week long charity program also aims to give opportunities to participants to better enjoy jump rope as a sport in itself, when it used to be merely a part of training programs.

“Anyone can join. Probably it’s an opportunity for someone who has never tried jump rope. [The] jump rope community feels like family,” Agra said.
