DSWD: No 4Ps beneficiaries hurt in Negros Oriental ambush

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assured that there are no beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) were hurt in the Negros Oriental ambush that killed Governor Roel Degamo and eight other individuals.

DSWD Region VII said they have listed potential 4Ps beneficiaries that were present in Degamo’s residence during the ambush.

DSWD also offered its condolences to the Degamo family and the families of eight other victims.

Meanwhile, DSWD field office staff who supervised the 4Ps listing in Barangay Poblacion, Pamplona are also safe. 

Degamo died on March 4 after being ambushed at his residence in Barangay San Isidro in Sto. Nuebe, Pamplona while entertaining 4Ps beneficiaries. –gb
