President Duterte has appointed former DILG Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Catalino S. Cuy as the new chairman of Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), while former AFP Chief of Staff Eduardo Año replaced Cuy as the new OIC of the DILG.

Duterte signed Cuy and Año’s appointment papers on January 4.

Cuy was the officer in charge of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and now, replaced former DDB Chair Dionisio Santiago.

It can be remembered that Santiago was earlier fired by President Duterte for contradicting the information on the number of drug users in the country.

Año, meanwhile, will take-over the leadership of DILG as its new OIC. (Tretch Melarpes – PTV)
