Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan goes to Brgy. Bongtud, Tandag City

More than 200 families received assistance from the Barangayanihan Caravan under the Duterte Legacy Project led by the local government of Surigao del Sur in Barangay Bongtud in Tandag City.

The beneficiaries, mostly fire victims of the barangay last January 20, received a humanitarian cargo containing food and hygiene kits from different government agencies.

The barangay beneficiaries also receive free haircuts, cooking demo, and pedicure and manicure services. They thanked the national government for their programs for the Filipino people.

The caravan aims to build up the spirit of unity among government agencies, private sectors, and non-government organizations in providing help to the community especially during these trying times. – Jennifer Peña Gaitano, with reports from Nida Grace Barcena (PIA Caraga)/ML-ag
