NLET-Cubao, NLET-PITX free rides begin

Free rides from North Luzon Express Terminal (NLET) to Araneta Center Cubao or Route 38 and to Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) or Route 39 under the Service Contracting Program Phase 3 started Thursday, April 21.

The first ride started at 1:00 a.m and will end at 12 midnight.

The Department of Transportation assured in its social media post that all public vehicles for the free ride are safe for the commuters.

Meanwhile, the EDSA Carousel free ride is ongoing from 4:00 p.m to 11:00 p.m.

Additional routes and public utility vehicles for the free ride in the whole country are expected soon.

The Service Contracting Program aims to help operators and drivers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the continuous oil price hike. – ag
