EO on COVID-19 testing price cap awaits PRRD’s signature

The Palace is confident that President Rodrigo R. Duterte will sign the Executive Order setting a price cap for RT-PCR testing in the Philippines soon.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the technical working group of the Department of Health (DOH) has finished its recommendation regarding the price cap. The papers from the Office of the Executive Secretary are ready for the President’s signature.

Secretary Roque has stated that setting a price cap for the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing is very significant in preventing the unjust high prices imposed by several laboratories.
