MPTC warns public against buying RFID stickers online

The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has warned against buying RFID stickers online due to sensor problems in the toll plaza.

According to the MPTC, it has received numerous reports regarding the sensor problems. The MPTC will look into possible legal actions against the resellers. Motorists are advised to avoid online purchase and avail of RFIDs from installation sites instead.

There are currently around 51 installation sites that are open 24/7. More sites have been opened to prevent long lines.

The MPTC reiterated that the mandatory use of the RFID has been moved to December 1, giving more time to motorists to acquire such. Installing of RFID stickers will continue despite the deadline.
