EU donates P10-M worth of gadgets, PPEs to BJMP

The European Union has donated Php 10 million worth of tablets and PPEs to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

According to EU Delegation to the Philippines Charge D’ Affaires Thomas Weirsing, the donation was given by the “Gojuste Programme” as support to the BJMP. The items will be distributed to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and jail personnel.

Based on the recent report of President Rodrigo Duterte to Congress, the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the different jail facilities are around 517.
