Fair weather seen in most parts of PH except extreme N. Luzon

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

The frontal system affecting extreme Northern Luzon is expected to bring rain showers in the area the whole day, the weather bureau reported Tuesday, May 9.

Daniel James Villamil of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Batanes and Babuyan Islands may experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will continue to have fair weather with chances of rains due to easterlies/localized thunderstorms.

Villamil said PAGASA did not monitor any low pressure area inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility that could affect the weather condition in the next few days.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas continue to prevail in the entire archipelago, PAGASA said. – gb
