Fair weather to prevail Tuesday as LPA dissipates

The country will experience fair weather but isolated rain showers are still expected, the weather bureau said Tuesday, June 7.

Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the low pressure area (LPA) had dissipated.

“No weather disturbance was seen inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,” he said, adding that fair weather will prevail across the country.

Aurelio said Luzon will be warm from noon until the afternoon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are likely to occur in the afternoon or evening.

Tuguegarao’s temperature could reach up to 35 °C and up to 34 °C in Metro Manila.

“The Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather, but isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening,” Aurelio said.

The temperature in Cebu and Zamboanga could reach up to 33 °C and 32 °C in Iloilo, Tacloban, and Davao.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the western and northern sections of Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. – gb
