Feeding program continues amidst COVID-19 pandemic


The government’s feeding program will continue amidst the blended learning mode implemented in schools due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the nutritious meals will be delivered directly to the respective homes of students or parents can pick up the meals from the school.

The Department of Education (DepEd) has initially disclosed that there will be changes in the conduct of the feeding program due to distance learning.

President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11037 on June 2018 providing for the conduct a feeding program for malnourished children. – PTV News
