First centennial restoration flag ceremony held today

The National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) spearheaded the very first monthly flag ceremony today, 07 October 2019, to commemorate the centennial restoration of the Philippine flag and the second anniversary of the liberation of Marawi City. Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana, Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, and Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso graced the event. ThIs was held at the Rizal Park which the NPDC envisions to advocate nationalism or love of country. Mayor Isko Moreno thinks the two historic occasions are aptly commemorated in Ground Zero as this is the starting point for every destination the Filipino traveler takes.
