Four suspects arrested in multiple drug stings in CamSur

LEGAZPI CITY – Four drug suspects were arrested in separate drug stings by anti-narcotics operatives in Camarines Sur on Tuesday (Sept. 28).

In a report on Wednesday (Sept. 29), Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office-5 spokesperson, said the operations yielded several sachets of suspected shabu. She, however, failed to mention the total volume and an estimated value of the seized illegal substance.

In Magarao town, Jaymark Abesa, 18, a resident of Naga City, was caught selling shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay San Isidro at around 7 p.m.

The suspect yielded five sachets of shabu.

In Pili town, police operatives, on the strength of a warrant of arrest, collared Rodolfo Ortega, alias “Amros”, 23, of Barangay Tagbong, at around 12:20 p.m.

The suspect was in possession of a sachet of shabu weighing 10 grams worth P36,000, a .38-caliber pistol, and a slingshot with six Indian arrows.

In Naga City, Ronnie Dulay, 41, Marlon Albao, 39, both of Barangay San Felipe, were caught with six sachets of shabu and a .38-caliber handgun during an operation in Sitio Compradia, Zone 6 of the same village at around 1:30 a.m.

The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002. (PNA) – bny
