Frontal system to bring light rains over N. Luzon on Monday

By Ma. Cristina Arayata

MANILA — The frontal system affecting northern Luzon will cause light rains over the area, the weather bureau said on Monday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over the Cordillera region, Batanes, and Cagayan. The rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, it added.

The Visayas and Mindanao will experience isolated rain showers, while Luzon will have partly cloudy skies due to the easterlies affecting the rest of the country.

Strong winds will blow over extreme northern Luzon with rough seas. Winds will be light to moderate and waves will be slight to moderate as well, PAGASA said.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 23 degrees to 33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 15-22 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 24-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao, 24-33 degrees Celsius.
