The city government here has honored top 20 corporate taxpayers from among the economic zone locators, which continue to boost the local government revenues to nearly PHP1 billion last year, on Thursday.
During the Investors’ Day celebration at the Bayleaf Hotel in Barangay Manggahan, Mayor Antonio Ferrer recognized the biggest taxpayers that resulted in the city’s local revenue collections to almost PHP 1 billion in 2018, excluding the incomes from other local revenue sources and the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA).
“We are pretty much fortunate because of you (investors), yung investment nyo po ay malaking tulong sa economic activity ng Lungsod ng General Trias. Kayo po mgalocators yung nag-appreciate sa GenTri (your investment is a big boost to the city’s economic activity. You as locators have appreciated GenTri). You value what are the potentials of one city to the people,” Ferrer said in his speech.
He also thanked the investors and locators for their continued partnership as he looks forward for more years of partnership.
The 20 business taxpayers-honorees include Analog Devices Gen. Trias Inc., House Tech Industries, American Power Conversion Corp., Pro-Friends Inc., Purefoods Hormel Corp., JAE Phil., Unilever Philippines, Maxim Phili., Antel Holdings Inc., HRD Singapore Ltd., Analog Devices, Enomoto Phils. Mfg. Corp., San Technology Inc., Citihomes Builders, Magnolia Inc., Cypress Mfg. Ltd. Inc., LPU-GenTri Campus, Iriso Electronics Phil. Inc., Shimadzu Phils., Mfg. Inc., and Phils. Advanced Processing Tech. Inc.
The city government also honored Pro-Friends Inc., Unilever Philippines, Purefoods Hormel Corp., Can Asia Inc., Banco De Oro-Epci Inc., Monterey Farms Corp., Sta. Lucia Realty & Dev’t Corp., Majestic Technical Skills Dev’t & Landscape Corp., San Miguel Yamamura Fuso Mold Corp., GBPLEN Corp., Erly Packaging Corp., Magnolia Inc., Coca Cola (Bottlers) Femsa Phils., Empire East Landholding, Greekraft Corp, Telford Property, 8990 Luzon Housing Dev’t., Corp., Gateway Property Holdings Inc., Antel Development Corp. and Omni Composite Packaging Corporation as the top 20 real property corporate taxpayers.
“We believe General Trias is a place to succeed. All these years, you are our business partners to provide income here in the locality, education, basic commodities, as basically wealth to all of us. You go hand-in-hand with us towards community development and in improving the quality of life for our people,” Cavite 6th District Rep. Luis Ferrer IV said during the event.
He also assured that with Ferrer and Vice Mayor Morit Sison, infrastructure projects would be intensified to spur more economic development in the city.
