Globe hauls three wins at the 18th Annual International Business Awards

Globe took home three awards at the recently held 18th Annual International Business Awards. The company bagged a Gold Stevie for Most Valuable Corporate Response for keeping its employees and customers #SafeAtHome during the pandemic.

Adjudged as outstanding, Globe’s “COVID response was communication-based and people-based which met many needs that suddenly hit the social and work scene. There was a clearly stated and straightforward vision. The response was broad and swift and made an important difference to people who were isolated.“

Among some of Globe’s award-winning programs were the Globe Labs, its own PCR testing facility, Thursdays By The Desk, which discouraged meetings every Thursday to give way to productive, uninterrupted work, and HopeChat, which connects employees to mental health experts via Messenger.

Globe also won a Silver Stevie for Achievement in Human Resources for its various initiatives on employee engagement, digital support, holistic wellness, and learning and development that have improved the organization’s relationship with its employees.

Based on the 2020 iSpeak Employee Engagement Survey from Willis Towers Watson, Employee Engagement was at 93% — the highest in five years, despite the challenges of the pandemic. Globe is the only Filipino Company to be part of the WTW High Performing Organizations.

For its numerous milestones since 2019, which had a positive impact on both the telecommunications industry and the country, Globe also received a Silver Stevie under Company of the Year, Telecommunications division.

“During the pandemic, we stood by our employees’ side, supporting them with mental health programs, digital podcasts to keep them connected, wellness seminars, and exclusive discounts on productivity items that will help them create their best work at home. We made them feel our presence through programs that care,” said Ato Jiao, Globe Chief Human Resource Officer.

Globe aligns its actions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals No. 3 on good health and well-being, UN SDG No. 8 on decent work and economic growth and UN SDG No. 9 on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
