Government considers resumption of provincial bus operations

The government is still evaluating whether or not.to permit the operation of provincial buses

According to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, it is still part of the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) goals to gradually resume the operations of public utility buses. However, CabSec. Nograles pointed out that the operations of provincial buses will resume only if passengers returning to their respective hometowns do not have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

He added that the local government units (LGUs) will play a big role if this happens since they are the ones that will accept the passengers in their areas. – PTV News
