GSIS gives 5-year extension for ‘Study Now, Pay Later’ loan payment

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) will give its members a 5-year extension to pay for their loan under the “Study Now, Pay Later” program.

GSIS Executive Vice President for Corporate Business Sector Attorney Nora Malubay stated in a briefing that the extension of the program aims to assist the GSIS members to help their children finish college. She added that the pension fund covers PhP 100,000 worth of tuition and other fees of the student-grantees for the whole year.

The payment will then be collected after 6 years while the interest is at 8% payable within 5 years.
