GSIS offers COVID-19 Emergency Loan Program

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has opened its Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Emergency Loan Program for members and pensioners.

Members and pensioners can apply for a PhP 20,000-loan payable in three years with 6 percent interest per year.

GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Macasaet clarifies that the loan also covers the insurance of deceased pensioners.

He advises members who want to avail of the emergency loan to visit the Pension Fund’s website, www.gsis.gov.ph, or send an e-mail with the emergency loan application and a picture or scanned copy of GSIS their electronic card or unified multi-purpose identification card.

A picture of the member or pensioner holding a signed application form that can be downloaded through www.gsis.gov.ph
is also required.
